“If joy had a colour, I think it would be pink” – Ed Lehming

Another storm passing, unsettled and angry gray clouds give way to joyful pinks and lavenders. The summer evenings continue in contrasts, and I’m back to what has become a regular spot for me as the day fades to night.

Here’s another shot, another day, from the same location that I have been sharing photos from over the past few days, this time looking northeast, or just to my right. The farm driveway has been a great place to pull off the road so that I don’t have to worry about passing cars.

On this day, storms had once again passed over in the afternoon, but rather than offering wispy multicolored clouds, there was a high pink mist in the sky interspersed with waves of purple. This pink filled the sky, except to the far west, where the clouds had started to break up. This intense pink reminded me of candy floss, thus the image name. Though the overwhelming pink felt a bit sureal, I also felt a joyful calm as it bathed the landscape in its glow.
