About
I am a professional fine art photographer based in Stouffville, Ontario. Though I have actively been making photographs for many years, the acquisition of my first DSLR camera a few years ago has opened up new creative channels.
My photography focuses primarily on nature and landscapes, though I have ventured into the world of abstraction, architecture, portraiture, and street photography. To me, photography is the art of communicating the feeling an object or scene invokes for me, deliberately. It’s about finding beautiful things in ordinary places. My photography has very little to do with what I see and everything to do with how I see them as well as how they make me feel. Call me a photographic impressionist, if you will. I want people to look at my photos and sense the experience I had when making them.
Lately, my focus has been on pursuing the art of photographic abstractions, using lighting, motion, and strong vertical elements to create several distinct series of photographs.
My photos have been featured in magazine articles, web sites, and brochures.
Since 2017, I have been a member of the Stouffville Studio Tour, an annual showcase of local artists, which allows me to showcase and sell my photos in a curated environment and connect to other artists in my region.
My intent, through blogging, is to share my photographs with a broader audience and be able to share, in words, some of my thoughts about the experience that goes along with the actual photo.

I’ve made a self-imposed commitment to post one image per day. That has been ‘interesting’ as weather conditions have been a challenge, yet it pushes me to continually create and refine. Looking forward to browsing through your images as time allows.

Thanks, I enjoyed browsing through many of your images and like your style. I’m a bit of a photo opportunist and tend to make images of whatever grabs my attention focussing on sharing the ‘subtleties’ most people miss when looking at common scenes. Best to you as well.
