“Painted Sky” – Lakeshore Lodge Point – Prince Edward County

“There are times, when looking at my world, that I see a painting just waiting to be created. Then I realize that nature already has.” – Ed Lehming
This is a return to a previously shared image, though presented here as a portrait composition. I think I prefer the portrait version because it shows more sky and is a bit brighter overall.
I also have to say that this was a memorable day for me. I had not been out making landscape shots for some time and got re-inspired by some stunning sunsets, which led to the series I have recently shared. The sky this evening really looked like it had been painted, and I’ve had some artist friends comment back with words like “That sky!” I would agree. Every sunset is a bit different, and some are jaw-droppers. This one just makes me smile in its simple beauty.
As well, it has reignited the desire to get outside to enjoy the beauty that surrounds me, create engaging photos and share them here.
