Every now and then, a photo captures the dynamic nature of our world—times when the true moment is documented so well that I can sense the very air and feel of that moment in time when looking back at the photo.

That is the case with this image, taken once more along the shores of Lakeshore Lodge Point in Ontario’s Prince Edward County. It looks back to locations where I made my previous photos and features the large oak that hangs over the bluff. In this image, the movement of the wind against the gap at my feet is quite obvious. I can still hear the sound of the waves and smell the unmistakable scent of the lake water as it crashes on the shore below. It immediately reminded me of one of my favorite Van Morrison songs.

The image was made looking southwest, as I tried to capture all the elements that I was experiencing, including a narrow wedge of the sunset across the lake.
