“Conjunction” – Markham, Ontario

“Moments define our lives. Some of those moments cause me to pause and marvel at the world we live in. Sometimes, it’s simple things like appreciating the sky at dusk in all its wonder” – Ed Lehming
Today’s image is a simple shot, a moment in time where I looked out across the horizon and saw something that stopped me in my tracks for a bit. I’m not sure just how rare these conjunctions of the moon and Venus are, but they sure are beautiful.
We were at my daughter’s farm and getting ready for an anniversary party. In the background, people were gathering and the band was warming up. I stepped away from the group and walked over to an open field to make this image. What surprised me was that nobody else really noticed it, caught up in chatter, food, and music. This felt like a moment just for me to enjoy.
