“Trapped”
“Beware of being trapped in your own imaginings. You instill sparks in others, you charge them with your illusions, and when they burst forth into illuminations, you are taken in.”
― Hugh Parker Guiler
Now this one got me thinking, should I reveal what it is, or leave it a mystery? It’s an image I made a few days ago and it really struck me as I previewed and then processed it. The title “Trapped” has several possible applications, depending on how you interpret the photo. It’s also a cool image for Tuesdays of Texture.
I think I’ll leave it, as is and see what your thoughts are.

Well, reminds me of my character’s efforts to become more ‘telepathic’. That’s really the wrong word but it’s closest to what he experiences. He sees their thoughts as first as flows, like streams of colorful light, and then begins picking up the the threads. Their threads present a feel for their emotions but not their thoughts. Separating and tracing the threads back, he can begin to perceive the individual saiki of each, which is their essence. Then he can begin to pierce and interpret their thoughts.
What you’ve photographed here is what he sees of their saiki with sufficient concentration. As his concentration and sympathy with the saikis increase, their colors gain sharpness and clarity.
Thanks for sharing. Love it. Cheers
Thanks for the feedback, a great analogy.
It’s the universe looking at itself with separation and a lack of clarity. 🙂
Glass trap door/window (or mirror) for the rock world or rather, the world of rocks….
It looks like pebbles below glass or distorted water. I’m not usually very good at these, so I’m probably way off. 🙂
Yes, pebbles, under a thin coat of ice. So, you are better than you give yourself credit for 🙂
